Building and Windows Dream

Building and Windows Dream

Angel Mercy

Bangalore, India

I had this dream on 26 October 2018. In the dream, Jordan and I took on a contract to build a building with windows. Windows in a building aren’t unusual, but in the dream, I felt this was an important element to not ignore.

Second scene: Somebody asked us to build a building for them. We emphasized we would help with one condition. We wanted them to use their skills to equip those that remained so they would be able to take care of the building should something go wrong. End of dream.

Interpretation (including Angel’s praise):

There is such joy as I write this dream. Thank you, Jesus, for entrusting us with such a precious gift.

When the church prayed for us last year, my dad gave a word for me and Jordan. The verse in Isaiah 58 says “you will build foundations for generations.”

The day before this dream, I was praying and cleaning our home when God reminded me of this verse in Isaiah. I actually have it posted on my refrigerator door with magnets, along with a lot of other scriptures and prophecies given to us. We are called to build people up and prepare the next generation to rise up for Christ. The Lord was reminding me of this.

The Bible says in Ephesians 2:21-22 “In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.” NIV

One area the Lord has shown me where we can raise up leaders is in our church house group. Like the dream portrays, it is for the day we leave so they can take over and equip the next group of people.

God has put a burden on my heart to remain focused on future generations when serving the Lord. The word of God says generation after generation did not follow the instructions of the Lord. An example is after Moses lead the Israelites and raised up leaders, including Joshua.

In the Old Testament, three people followed Joshua and the ways of the Lord, but after he left, they went astray because they didn't know what the Lord had done. Sadly, “After that generation died, another generation grew up who did not acknowledge the Lord or remember the mighty things he had done for Israel. Judges 2:10

The building in the dream represents building the church. We have a responsibility to build a foundation and keep building the church in order to be an extension to expand the kingdom of God.

We want to be a church builder of people and ministries for the Lord. “Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.” Hebrews 10:24-25

“O my people, listen to my instructions.  Open your ears to what I am saying, for I will speak to you in a parable. I will teach you hidden lessons from our past— stories we have heard and known,  stories our ancestors handed down to us. We will not hide these truths from our children;  we will tell the next generation about the glorious deeds of the Lord,   about his power and his mighty wonders. For he issued his laws to Jacob; he gave his instructions to Israel. He commanded our ancestors to teach them to their children, so the next generation might know them—  even the children not yet born—  and they in turn will teach their own children. So each generation should set its hope anew on God,  not forgetting his glorious miracles  and obeying his commands.” Psalm 78:1-7

When we make choices, we should seek the heart of God which isn’t just for people in the present, but also for generations to come.

Windows in the dream represent “a window into the future.” A window provides fresh air flow from one place to another, representing the “rushing wind” of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2:2)

The spirit of God is omnipresent. The eyes of the Lord search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.” 2 Chronicles 16:9

The condition in the dream was to equip the others, which is symbolic of the Lord’s command that we are to spread the gospel. We are to teach and equip leaders in the church and reveal the heart of God and pass his Word on to future generations. Building people, discipling, is the ministry the Lord has called Jordan and me to.

Posting my dreams on the internet is one way in which God is using Jordan and me in unexpected ways. It isn’t easy for me to share my dreams and my God-stories, however, God has shown me that by sharing my God-dreams, is another way I can be used by the Lord to equip the body of Christ. It is a way in which I can reveal to others the heart of God.

The interpretation and insight of this dream line up with the Word of God. This dream also provides a confirmation of what God has already spoken to me. The words I’ve been told by others, my father, and from the Lord personally to me, was another way God reminded me that I must do my part to be a people builder for the church of Jesus Christ.

This dream isn’t about us, it’s about Christ and his church, and doing our part.
