The Name Vision

The Name Vision

The following are a few of my spiritual of goals.

1.   To experience God a little more today than yesterday

2.   To experience God a little less than tomorrow

When I had The Name Vision, I was sitting quietly, reverently, and expectantly before God. I asked God to speak and to see a vision.

With eyes closed, he answered. The sight, His words, the understanding filling my spirit at rapid speed.

 THE NAME VISION

It was as though I had night-vision goggles on. All I saw was a name and the letters were bold, bursting forth with colors in flames of fire. The colors were deep, yet brilliant. Oranges, yellows, reds, and blues engulfing each letter, but not consuming them. It was similar to the account in the Bible when Moses stood before the burning bush. The letters did not burn away. (Exodus 3)

The Name:

J E S U S

There was a brilliance and a “Fire blazed forth knowing it is how the Lord’s presence looks and feels.” (Exodus 3:2)

I knew The Name was sealed, unchanging, uncontainable.

As I looked upon The Name, there was a burning that was igniting hope, joy, and an immense depth of God’s love. It was the fire of God rekindling why I wake up each day and what motivates me to live a life in the will of God.

There was a searing of the soul, not of pain, but into the presence of God. The fire of God pointing out insecurities and things I need to deal with. The fire of the Holy Spirit singeing away all doubt and sin.

As I continued to look upon the letters blazing before me, I had a sense how the fire of God is clothed in majesty. “It was like a river of fire pouring out of the throne.” Revelation 7:9-10

AMEN

End of vision and message

This was an experience where God lavished me with a miraculous intensity of His being. His name saves, delivers, heals, and brings hope. J E S U S is the name above all names.

“When Solomon finished praying, fire flashed down from heaven and burned up the burnt offerings and sacrifices, and the glorious presence of the Lord filled the Temple. The priests could not enter the Temple of the Lord because the glorious presence of the Lord filled it. When all the people of Israel saw the fire coming down and the glorious presence of the Lord filling the Temple, they fell face down on the ground and worshiped and praised the Lord, saying, “He is good! His faithful love endures forever!” 2 Chronicles 7:1-3

Jesus is a flame that never burns out, but it’s up to me to keep the warmth of his presence burning in my spirit and soul. I want the fire of God to flow through my veins and burn up every evil thing in me.

Like Solomon, we can expect the fire of God to flash down from heaven. In fact, I believe we should have an expectation of the manifest presence of God who desires to spark a flame deep within our souls that transforms and draws us closer to him.

God rekindled my heart, consumed me, and all I could do was to continue worshipping him. I went into my day expecting to see Jesus unlike times past. It was a little more than yesterday, but I hope a little less than tomorrow. God is forever changing me and He desires that I know and experience his infinite creativity more each day.

We are to give God glory and honor. There is only one name in heaven and on earth that has the power to transform lives. It is the name - JESUS!

“This is what the Lord says: “Don’t let the wise boast in their wisdom, or the powerful boast in their power, or the rich boast in their riches. But those who wish to boast should boast in this alone: that they truly know me and understand that I am the Lord who demonstrates unfailing love and who brings justice and righteousness to the earth, and that I delight in these things. I, the Lord, have spoken!” Jeremiah 9:23-24
