A Dream of Rest and New Life

Sue sent this dream to me on August 23, 2013, to pray for interpretation and insight. At the time, I was unaware of God’s words to her on July 4, 2013. I’ve kept this in its original form as much as possible to show how God worked in Sue’s life over a long period of time. This includes entries from her journal, emails, and prayers.
Both of Sue’s parents passed away within two years of each other. During this period of time, Sue and Henry became empty-nesters, and their sons and daughter-in-laws moved out of state. She stated that wherever she went she was faced with the grief from all the memories. It was a dark time, a lonely time, and she was wanting a fresh start. She began praying about selling her home and moving.
“But what comes out of the mouth proceeds from the heart.” Matthew 15:18
Her dream is short, and the interpretation is long because the events from the dream unfolded over a long period of time. Four years to be exact.
Sue: I had a quick dream on August 13, 2013, that has not left me.
I was sitting in my living room and three eggs came up from my throat, one right after the other, and out of my mouth. The first two that came out I caught and held them on my tummy/chest. When the third one came out, I caught it and held it in my right hand. Suddenly, it flew out of my hand and that’s when I woke up.
Initial insight and interpretation (Teresa):
- Chair: God’s authority and resting in God. Your hands on your stomach representing that you are at peace.
- Living room: A place where people gather. Not just physically, but spiritually. It may include intercession and can be a long period of time. Stay the course. With rest comes the blessing to inherit the land the Lord has prepared for you. “Home is where the heart is.” It’s your dwelling place, safety.
- Eggs: Depicts the birth of something new. New life, ministry, witness, potential, a promise, a plan. A confirmation God has something better to give you. “Or if they ask for an egg, do you give them a scorpion? Of course not!” Luke 11:12
- Holding the two eggs: Keep God’s words close to your heart and two represents witnessing. Psalm 119:11 Mark 6:7
- Three: Third day of creation “God separated water and land and all varieties of seeds bore fruit and vegetation.” Genesis 1:11-13
- You will bear fruit for the kingdom of God. Confirming ministry/witnessing.
- Three in the Bible also represents the Trinity (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). Rest in God’s presence, which you are doing in the dream.
- You don’t have to do anything until God instructs otherwise. Rest.
- Be vigilant and restful, but not to the point you aren’t doing something. You should pray what you’re supposed to let go of (represented by the third egg slipping out of your hand). Whatever “it” is, rely on God’s strength, “For I hold you by your right hand—I, the Lord your God. And I say to you, ‘Don’t be afraid. I am here to help you." Isaiah 41:13
- Don’t ignore if there’s a negative element to the eggs “spewing” out of your mouth. “Something which comes the issues of life.” Proverbs 4:23. Pray about this. “How sweet your words taste to me; they are sweeter than honey.” Psalm 119:103
Overall, I think this is a beautiful picture of you “resting in God.” Be vigilant and restful, but not to the point you aren’t letting go. The dream begins with the eggs coming out of your mouth and ending with one letting go. The beginning of “taking possession of the land" the Lord is giving to you today.
UPDATE FROM SUE JANUARY 19, 2017
Italics and bold words are updates to Sue’s dream and original journal entries from the morning of July 4, 2013. The verses from her journal are not italicized or bolded. I encourage you to read what follows and refer back to the beginning and what each egg represents.
Sue: January 20, 2017: Below is what God has shown me
EGG #1
JULY 4, 2013: Joshua 1:3; Joshua 1:11; Joshua 1:13-16)
I promise you what I promised Moses: ‘Wherever you set foot, you will be on land I have given you. Verse 3
“Go through the camp and tell the people to get their provisions ready. In three days you will cross the Jordan River and take possession of the land the Lord your God is giving you.” Verse 11
God needed me to clean out what was inside of me...my thoughts...my ways of thinking...my interpretations of things.
“Remember what Moses, the servant of the Lord, commanded you: ‘The Lord your God is giving you a place of rest.” Verse 13
I had to receive the rest that was right where I was . . . right where I was living.

“Your wives, children, and livestock may remain here in the land Moses assigned to you on the east side of the Jordan River.” Joshua 1:14
...my children ... are to remain where they are . . . I’m to leave them be
“But your strong warriors, fully armed, must lead the other tribes (people God has for me to minister too) across the Jordan to help them conquer their territory. Stay with them until the Lord gives them rest.” (until what God has for these folks is done I cannot leave) Verses 14-15
“as he has given you rest, and until they, too, possess the land the Lord your God is giving them.” Verse 15
Note once again Sue's journal entry four years after her dream.
This is the miracle . . . I am content . . . I am totally at rest here in my home, in my mission field which is the people I have come to love on my street, the daughter of my friend who died, and my friends and hubby who still need to be here...God has taken from me the desire to be near my kids and even with grandchild on the way. I am content to do the will of my Father here.
“Only then may you return and settle here on the east side of the Jordan River in the land that Moses, the servant of the Lord, assigned to you.” Verse 15
I’m not going anywhere until my appointed time is complete.
They answered Joshua, “We’ll do whatever you command us, and we’ll go wherever you send us. Verse 16 my prayer
EGG #2 – NEW LIFE
Teresa...literally egg number 2 is “new life!” We’ve been waiting for almost 10 years to be grandparents. (I’m going to copy and paste my words and then the text messages to Zach and Rachel...it will be in all capital letters) ... On December 31, I was going back through my Journal for the past year. Reflecting on the things God had given and shared with me. I was totally taken back when on October 19, 2016, I saw (*Promise of my life continuing). Our kids, of course, had just shared with us during the holidays about them being pregnant. I didn’t remember this promise from this dream. THANK GOD I WRITE THINGS DOWN!!! LOL! That particular day I had been sharing with Jesus that if my kids didn’t have kids then my life would end with their death. It was really bothering me...and then God spoke to me...this is what he said...

Journal October 19, 2016: Promise of my life continuing)
“GOD DOES THROW DOWN HIS JUDGEMENT AS NEEDED WITH HIS CHILDREN. HE TAKES CARE OF THEM AND WATCHES OVER THEM TO MAKE SURE THAT THEY ARE FOLLOWING HIS DECREES AND WARNINGS AND FOLLOWING HIM PRECISELY AS HE DESCRIBES FOR THEM TO DO. GOD IS IN YOUR MIDST.HE HAS BROUGHT GREAT TROUBLE ON THE HEADS OF THOSE DESERVING AND HAS RELEASED THOSE WHO HAVE REMAINED CAPTIVE FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS. GOD IS FOR YOU WHO COULD EVER BE AGAINST YOU AT ALL IN ALL THINGS. GOD WILL MAKE A WAY AND CLEAR THE WAY AND DO THE WAY FOR YOU AND FOR ALL THOSE AROUND YOU.
GOD WILL TAKE CARE OF YOUR KIDS AND THEIR FAMILIES AND THEIR GENERATIONS TO COME. GOD WILL CARRY ON YOUR NAME AND YOUR LIFE THROUGH THE LIFE OF YOUR CHILDREN’S CHILDREN...SO RELAX AND PREPARE AND MAKE WAY - GOD IS FOR YOU
HE IS NOT AGAINST YOU AT ALL. IN ALL THINGS IN CHRIST JESUS NAME...AMEN. GOD WILL MAKE A WAY TODAY AND FOR YOUR WAY HE WILL CLEARLY SET YOUR PATH IN ORDER IN CHRIST JESUS NAME...AMEN. On December 31, (same day I found this entry) I texted Zach and Rachel this:
“Just going through 2016 Journal. This was the words God gave me on October 19, 2016:
(I then took a picture of the Journal entry below and included in the text message and continued to write this: “I had been sharing with Jesus how my life would end with the death of my children and He gave me those words promising me my children would conceive. Who Knows...that could’ve been the day...Hahahahahahahha”
RACHEL’S TEXT BACK:
Fun Fact: The baby had its beginning the weekend of October 19, 2016.
Sue:
“OH, MY WORD!!!! That is incredible!!! Can’t tell me God’s not real!!!
Egg #1 God gave me “land” and “rest.”
Egg #2 is happening...LOL
Egg #3: I let go of my desires and gave all to God. I believe more is to come from letting go.
I am resting (chair, home, content) in these amazing miracles and blessings and work He has given me to do.
In summary, Sue’s dream and interpretation are a beautiful example of staying the course. Sit, rest, and pray strategically until God reveals His message and purpose of the dream.
Sue let God do the orchestrating. Its through Sue’s prayers and having God’s Word “hidden in her heart,” that she was able to understand God’s purpose from this dream. She found peace in the land God has given her. She didn’t sell her home. She is where God has her for now and doing the Lord’s work.
