God Invigorates My Soul

God Invigorates My Soul

A fresh appreciation for God takes effort on our part. If we want insight and revelation from God that invigorates our souls, we need to be people of prayer and reading of the Word. Appreciation means gratitude, thankfulness, and recognition. Appreciation of God increases when we take time in His presence. (www.dictionary.com)

Take time to ponder the verses below. Let God invigorate and energize your soul by giving Him your attention and time.

"Let my cry come right into your presence, God; provide me with the insight that comes only from your Word. Give my request your personal attention, rescue me on the terms of your promise. Let praise cascade off my lips; after all, you’ve taught me the truth about life! And let your promises ring from my tongue; every order you’ve given is right. Put your hand out and steady me since I’ve chosen to live by your counsel. I’m homesick, God, for your salvation; I love it when you show yourself! Invigorate my soul so I can praise you well, use your decrees to put iron in my soul. And should I wander off like a lost sheep—seek me! I’ll recognize the sound of your voice," Psalm 119:169-176.

"So, friends, take a firm stand, feet on the ground and head high. Keep a tight grip on what you were taught, whether in personal conversation or by our letter. May Jesus himself and God our Father, who reached out in love and surprised you with gifts of unending help and confidence, put a fresh heart in you, invigorate your work, enliven your speech." 2 Thessalonians 2:15-17
