Cruise Dream Interpretation Part Two

How God exhibited his love and protective hand over our lives five years after this is mind-blowing. God is forever faithful.

Cruise Dream Scene One:

Rick and I were in Europe. We got into a gold car and were immediately stopped by another gold car. In my mind, I pictured three different colors of gold. As we continued driving, another car pulled out in front of us. I couldn’t see anybody in the car. I said, “we need to go around them because their car is broke down.” I thought perhaps I should get out to help them push their car. I hesitated because I thought, “what if they want to harm me?” (I don’t remember a scene in the dream when the car came to a stop.) “What if they want to highjack the car?” If that’s the case I decided I would take the car keys because they could harm me.

“Sex-trafficking,” was my final thought.

INTERPRETATION

  • Cars: Gold cars represent what is spiritual, righteous, and reinforce ministry. Three different colors of gold highlight the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; Three-in-one. God is with me.

    • I am in Christ, (my car) and God (the Trinity) is alongside me (second car).

    • Third car: I believe this car is the enemy, a distraction. It’s unclear if they are there to harm me, therefore, I’m cautious. A reminder to seek God and ask him if I’m supposed to keep moving or to stop.

    • Broken down car: We were making plans to do missions and this could represent God saying, “not yet” to our trip. Also, another metaphor is the cruise lines coming to a halt. A personal message can represent not letting the enemy distract me along my journey.

    • Hijacked: I’m questioning if the enemy is there to hijack my car, representing my future plans (i.e., cruise, trip to Spain, missions). The enemy did “hijack” our cruise ship. It’s similar to Joseph’s dream and how the corn symbolically represented his brothers bowing down to him. Genesis 37 (It is remarkable that this occurred during an unprecedented time in history when a billion-dollar industry would be put on hold worldwide. God is in control!)

Scenes two and three:

We were on a cruise ship and there was someone trying to kill everybody. Someone captured a man and locked him into a big trunk and everything else on the ship. He wore a Halloween mask but looked more like a zombie. Everybody kept checking the latches to make sure he wouldn’t get out.

As we walked through the ship, I saw that he was in a cage with open bars. I knew that I was the only one that could see him in this cage. He was looking at me with evil intent. No words were spoken. I had no fear because I knew he was locked away.

While everybody went about their business on the cruise ship, I had this warning to go to the upper deck and play cards. I wanted a table where we could eat and play cards. I found a table where there were three people playing (though I couldn’t see them). They were invisible. An ace of cards showed up and then I realized only aces were up at all three places.

End of dream.

November 24, 2015

  • Halloween mask: This is an unknown enemy, full of deceit. John 8:44-47

    • COVID-19 has been referenced as an unknown enemy. It is a new virus and epidemiologist and infectious disease experts are rushing to discover a vaccination to stop the spread.

    • When we feel threatened physically, emotionally, or spiritually, prayer ushers in peace.

  • Cruise ship: The enemy was locked up. God has Satan in chains. Keep him there by walking in peace, not fear (which I exhibited in the dream).

    • Many on the ship didn’t care that the enemy was present. This can represent their peace, but it can also represent their not taking things seriously. “Keep a cool head. Stay alert. The Devil is poised to pounce, and would like nothing better than to catch you napping. Keep your guard up. You’re not the only ones plunged into these hard times. It’s the same with Christians all over the world. So keep a firm grip on the faith. The suffering won’t last forever. It won’t be long before this generous God who has great plans for us in Christ—eternal and glorious plans they are!—will have you put together and on your feet for good. He gets the last word; yes, he does.” I Peter 5:8 MSG

    • Does this represent the cruise ship is unable to sail (“locked up”) due to the coronavirus (“enemy”)? It could be. It could also represent had we ended up on the cruise liner we could be confident in God’s promise “do not fear.”

    • It could also be literal. There were ships out to sea when the coronavirus began to spread and when passengers began to test positive, they were quickly quarantined and confined to their rooms.

  • Upper deck: This is symbolic of seeking God and wanting to rise higher in the Lord. I must continue to seek time in God’s presence.

    • Three invisible persons represent the Trinity: Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit.

    • Each of the three persons had an ace. Ace is the highest card in the deck. Again, representing that God is three-in-One.

The outcome of our cruise was out of our control. God gave the dream, he orchestrated the details, and it was God who brought the dream full circle.

There is too much here to be coincidental. God exhibited his glory and immense love in an incredible way. We are so thankful and can’t praise him enough. God uses moments like this where we can do nothing more than to bow to him in spontaneous worship. Please don’t exit or arrow back before taking a moment to listen to  Worthy of Affection by Shane & Shane. Worship our amazing Lord, for he is worthy of all of our affection and praise. “Let adoration fill this place.”
