Can we know what God’s will is for our lives with certainty? I believe we can.

I know that part of God’s will for me today is this blog. God’s Word says we can and will know His voice. God wouldn't tell us to persevere doing His will if we can’t determine what His will is. Hebrews 10:36

To say otherwise would be to say that God does not speak and the Bible isn’t true.

“Anyone who belongs to God listens gladly to the words of God. But you don’t listen because you don’t belong to God.” John 8:47

I know the exact moment God said, “start a blog.” It took me two years to launch it, but in those two years I knew it was His will

Through daily reading of the Word and multiple scriptures, themes lifted off the pages to trust Him and do it. After the blog was launched I was nervous. I asked God to give me specific Bible passages that would become my promises to firmly establish what God told me to do.

A few days later God answered my prayer. God not only provided scripture, He did it with great clarity, in abundance, and with specifics as to what to expect by following His will.

It was January 26, 2017 and I titled my journal that morning “Struggling with content for the blog.”

I noted that early on I believed this journey would provide a platform for others to share their testimonies, not just mine.

I began reading my Bible where I left off the day before. I Chronicles 28 highlights David’s instructions to Solomon to build the Temple. “May content come from you, by your hand, your instructions, Lord. “Speak to me today. May it be all of you, none of me,” I prayed.

“Lord, use this frail, human, limited being … me!

The following is a summary of the key phrases to stay the course and fulfill God's will through this blog:

1) God said; 2) I’m to worship and serve Him; 3) Do the work; 4) He said to complete to His specifications; 5) Write; 6) Do the work; 7) Don’t worry about the size of the task; 8) Others will volunteer; 9) The work ahead is enormous; 10) I’m inexperienced; 11) Use every resource that is at my disposal; 12) “You know I have done all this with good motives.” (see scripture at the bottom)

This blog is still in its infancy. Several posts have come from volunteers and this verse was especially comforting on this morning to know the burden isn’t all on me (point 8). God has a plan and I’m just one instrument to see it through.

No matter what God has called you to, I believe you can rely on these same promises. Get to work and do what God has called you to and to His specifications.

I Chronicles 28:

• Verse 3: “God said to me,” …
• Verse 9-10: “Worship and serve Him with your whole heart and with a willing mind ,,,10) Be strong, and do the work.” 
• Verse 11: Lord, I need the “Bread of the Presence.” I need you to complete the work to your specifications. (Do it God’s way, not mine.)
• Verse 19: “David told Solomon, “was given to me in writing from the hand of the Lord.”
• Verse 20-21: Again, be strong and courageous, and do the work. Don’t be afraid or discouraged by the size of the task, for the Lord God, my God is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you. He will see to it that all the work related to the Temple (blog) of the Lord is finished correctly. 21) “…Others with skills of every kind will volunteer … “

I Chronicles 29:

• Verse 1: “The work ahead of him is enormous.”
• Verse 9: “ … under the care …” This blog is under my care, but it’s for all people.
• Verses: “ … still young and inexperienced. The work ahead of him is enormous, for the Temple he will build isn’t for mere mortals—it’s for the Lord God himself! 2 Using every resource at my command [We use what you ask us to, Lord]…

13 “O our God, we thank you and praise your glorious name! 14 But who am I, and who are my people, that we could give anything to you? Everything we have has come from you, and we give you only what you first gave us! 16) It all belongs to you! 17 “ … You know I have done all this with good motives … “22 “They feasted and drank in the Lord’s presence with great joy that day. … 23) “he succeeded in everything …”
